The training workshop: intellectual property

The training workshop “FP7 projects preparation and performance: the issues of intellectual property and EC on-line services usage” was organised on 14 September 2012 in Kiev, Ukraine by V.N. Bakul Institute for Superhard Materials of the National Academy of Sciences with a support of START project consortium partners. To support the organisation of the workshop, Q-PLAN N.G. developed training materials that address the rules of participation in FP7-ICT research activities, the proposal preparation and evaluation and project implementation procedures. Overall, 26 participants attended the Workshop” : 23 representatives of the Institute, 1 representative of NGO, 1 representative of NCP and 1 representative from a college.

A great attention during the whole event was dedicated to intellectual property rights with the stress on international projects participation. First of all, general issues were presented for an auditorium and after it practical tips on its usage within international projects were discussed. The usage of real experience of trainers was rather applicable. Training on “Participants Portal” and “CORDIS services” usage took place as well. Moreover, it is important that participants had an opportunity to ask questions, while during breaks they had the opportunity to talk / consult with experts in the field of the main terms and rules within intellectual property rights (IPR) protection area and -Intellectual property (IP) within international projects.
